BREAKING THE CYCLE

Conflict and violence inside prison is a result of when norms fail, and prisoners seek out alternative methods of governance in protective associations. If the institution continues to be regressive, then prisoners must take the initiative and become progressive within their environment.

Redemption Row members advocate and apply intersectional solidarity across groups to lead by example for the prison population as a whole. Breaking the cycle of toxic prison culture - which the institution relies upon to perpetuate division - is Redemption Row's priority; we all must reach down in order to uplift others.
